Installation Steps
- Measure bed perimeter. Cut hardware cloth to length + 12 in overlap at corners.
- Attach hardware cloth to outside of bed frame using U-staples every 6 in.
- Extend cloth 6 in below frame bottom. Bend bottom 6 in outward at 90°.
- Dig shallow trench around bed. Bury bent L-flap. Backfill and tamp.
- Build removable gate panel: 2×2 frame with hardware cloth stapled on.
- Attach gate panel with hook-and-eye latches or slide bolts for easy removal.
- Seal all corners and gaps with additional hardware cloth strips. No gaps > 0.5 in.
